PRODUCT
INFORMATION - *NOTE - This is the same Panasonic Type of battery
that BMW use WITH THE EXCEPTION THAT THE PCB LEG MOUNTS ARE SLIGHTLY
DIFFERENT AND WILL REQUIRE MINOR MODIFICATION - these are 180 degrees
as per the photo - please check yours (BMW have these made as a
custom part by Panasonic with slightly different leg mounts) you
cannot buy these but there are many guides on the internet showing
how to change these batteries - you will need to solder the batteries
in, this is not difficult but please ensure you are able to do this
or have access to someone who can do it for you.
This
fits Most BMW 3, 5, 7 and E46 series (check it requires the battery
with pins and not the CR2032). You Cannot buy the original BMW
battery, as it was a custom part from Panasonic and so BMW charge
£200+ for a new key fob - this is the closest battery you can buy -
you will need to change the metal tabs, however it is an easy job and
the instructions are readily available on the internet
Note
this also fits Ford Transit Custom Van and many other cars, you will
have to be able to solder the item in, it does require soldering so
make sure you are able to do this or have someone do it for you
